Sound and images fill the vast space of the Palazzo della Ragione.
The Palazzo is the largest undivided medieval hall in Europe and was constructed in 1218 as the law court and council chamber of Padova. Originally frescoes by Giotto lined its walls but these were replaced in 1420, after a fire, by 333 panels depicting the months of the year, seasonal activities and zodiac symbols by Nicola Miretto.
Interesting info. But I don't get what is happening on the ground and it looks as if seen through glass, while something on the left looks as if it's moving and the stuff on the right might be documents??
Fascinating shot, Margaret. I don't understand the yellow and blue freeways leading to the distant point on the lower horizon. The juxtaposition of the seemingly 'new' blue and yellow with the ancient frescoes is fascinating. Maybe I'll see some of those frescoes in later shots. Great DOF!
