Saint Helena brought soil from Calvary which was spread over the
floor of the original basilica, thus the name "in Jerusalem"
meaning that one was actually in Jerusalem when in this church.

Now, thankfully open to all, mediaeval pilgrim guides noted that
the chapel was considered so holy, that access to the chapel by
women was forbidden.
