The rectangular Temple of Portunus (or Fortuna Virilis) like the Temple of Hercules
dates from the 2nd Century BC. It has served since the Middle Ages as a church, first
of Santa Maria de Gradellis and later as Santa Maria Egiziaca (St. Mary Egyptian).
