Powdered Dunotter

Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, Scotland

With Siberian temperatures setting in some of the usual North East landmarks have a
completely different look to them! The salt sea and air was still not enough to melt
the snow around the Dunotter Castle area. The low winter sun early in the morning lit
up the Castle superbly!

Winter light accentuates the contrast between snow and rock. Very nice composition!

Beautiful light and composition. Although I know it must be cold, the light seems warm! Well done.

This is a really striking shot capturing the bleakness and beauty of winter. V

We were thinking the same idea today...I must have missed you by about 10mins!! I was there at the castle at 11:00 am :0 This is a fine composition enhanced by the snow and low light. Excellent!

I like the contrasts between the white of the snow and the browns of the land along with the dark and light blues of the sea and the sky. All sewn together with soft winter light. I love it.
