Tom, thank you for all the wonderful comments - much appreciated. These were taken on a very windy, blowing sand day and I was also recovering from food poisoning that I picked up at a Chili's restaurant in Carlsbad (chicken was raw and I noticed it too late) - too weak to do much walking. So I was fortunate to be able to get most of these by having my wife position the car with the wind behind us and just shooting with the window rolled down.
