The Orkneys

On the main island of the Orkneys, we saw the Ring of Brodgar, the ancient village Skara Brae, and a wonderful 12th century cathedral in Kirkwall. I have way too many shots of the cathedral, because I was fascinated by how the winds have worn the red and white stones. The red sandstone reminded me of Petra.
