Balloon ride, Nile valley

We got up very early and left Luxor to fly in a balloon near the Valley of the Kings and Queen Hatchetsup's tomb. The Valley of the Kings, with the many tombs of the pharoahs, is over the hills. We did not get that far east in the balloon. The contrast between the fertile ground next to the Nile and the desert is striking.
