This monolithic sculpture is called as Lakshmi Narasimha. The band around the two legs were provided by the Ssulptures who were entrusted with the work of rstoration of the Monument. if the band was there then it will be called as YOGA Narasimha. The work was taken up by the dravidian sculptures who thught of providing band abround the legs. There are many sculptures you van find in the Pillars of the temples of Hampi, where the left leg will be seen to be touching the floor. So, donot confuse between the Lakshmi narasimha and Yoga narasimha.
At the left side of the monument you can find one hand which holds the waiste of Sri Narasimha, which belongs to Lakshmi.
