A chicken bus 1382

Chicken buses come in and out of Antigua frequently. The buses started as school buses in the US, and when they are deemed no longer safe, the government sends them to Guatemala, where they are souped up and decorated. We saw men on top of these buses arranging luggage while the bus was moving; the men are called spider men. They are cheaper than the government buses, and so crammed with people and animals, including chickens.

What a great sight! And reasons for being. Not safe, so not for chickens -- but
FOR chickens, and humans, now that they're souped up. Love the decorations.
