Hard to think of people trying to live behind those or not being able to anymore. Visually, even though it's mostly long verticals, it reminds me of cubism -- partly because of some reflections from a bus window maybe? Translucent areas with sudden diagonals against the rest of it reinforce the look of a modern painting. The middle, colored area, of an area boarded up, are like sudden dabs of paint. But, it's so sad to me to see how bad 'the ruins' are.
