I was/am a big fan of "The Gates" and working in lower Manhatten I saw the scaffolding going up for the falls. I had great anticipation. Now that they are here...Yawn, wake me when it's over.

Maybe on a clear night when light is just right they will look great. So I haven't given up hope. But my initial impression is they aren't as interesting as I expected.
