May 23, 2009 Message from Mike:

"It is with both sadness and joy that we tell you Jean went Home at 3:57 p.m. today, with her son Nathan, my sister Mendy and myself at her side, out on the patio overlooking her beloved garden. Jean requests donations in her memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Network and Capital Hospice."

We had some incredible times with our Ponder friends and I hope these pics of Jean and Mike bring back some smiles. When Sayer and I were building our pond in 2001 after moving into our Herndon house, we met Jean and Mike on one of their walks down our street. Their curiosity about the pallets of rocks, dirt piles and more rock pallets in our driveway led to a great friendship and a sharing of the love of Koi ponds and landscaping.

Our Annual Pond tours included Sayer and my ponds, Mike & Jean's, Rod's and we always enjoyed ending the tour at Jim and Gisela's for the piece d'resistance!!!

This particular gathering at Gisela's and Jim's in 2006 introduced a special massage chair that everyone wanted to try out. Ergo the look of pleasure on the faces of those feeling the love.
