On this night the owl was seen sitting in the cherry tree just about twenty feet from the window.
It would sit on the perch while peering at the ground about four feet below, then drop from the perch to grab an earthworm. It would then fly back up to its perch to watch for another. I couldn't use the flash through the window because of reflection, so I sneaked out on the porch and photographed it from around the corner. It just blinked at the flash. It stayed for several minutes and ate several worms.
