Coming into my driveway I found this male Sharpie sitting on a rock in our yard, consuming what was left of a Mourning Dove. After watching for a few minutes I got out of the car and moved very slowly toward the house, where my camera was. The hawk was about 30 yards away watching me, but did not seem to be disturbed. I then took these photos from the kitchen window at a distance of about 25 feet.
