Thank you for the comparison, but it's not really all that valid in my eyes... The 20D shots are at f/3.5 and in the 350D shots one is wide open at f2.8, and the other stopped down to f/8 (I'm referring to the four shots of the orange flower with the 100mm Macro).
Anyone know of a direct comparison between the two on pbase? I really want a 17-40L with the 350D.

Same here I think 20d looks way better. 350d pictures here are horrible. Why? Simply because I own the 20d and I paid much more for it. You get what you pay for. All the comparisons on dpreview are misleading. You cant even compare between the two. Blah blah blah........

The 20D shots do look nicer to my eye (surprise, surprise). The white balance seems more accurate and dynamic range less limited. Interesting comparison, thanks.
