QUEEN ANN'S LACE

I AM TRYING TO MAKE AND USE BACKGROUND TEXTURES. I HAD A FLOP DOWNLOADING SOME
SO I AM WORKING ON THAT.
I ADMIRE SO MANY OF YOUR ADDED TEXTURES THAT I THOUGHT
I'D GIVE IT A TRY. HOPEFULLY I GET THE HANG OF IT. IT IS ALL HUNT AND PECK AT THE MOMENT.
I SEE RIGHT AWAY THAT I PAID NO ATTENTION TO THE CENTER OF THE FLOWER BLENDING IT
WITH THE TEXTURE. I WAS TOO CONCERNED WTIH THE OUTSIDE EDGES.
TRY NUMBER 1

I THINK I'LL POST THE PHOTO I USED BEFORE PLAYING. I SEE IT IS NOT AN ORIGINAL AS IT WAS DONE DURING THE CS6 BETA FREE TRIAL USING THE ART HISTORY BRUSH. I LOVE THAT BRUSH.
HERE IS THAT RENDITION.

Sony DSLR-A550
1/200s f/13.0 at 55.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

You did a great job with the BG to isolate the seed head. I like both images but prefer your BG adjusted image because of the dreamy quality. Nice post-processing, Margot.

Love the idea and the execution is coming along pretty well. I have never really tried this technique. You must be using PS layers are you?

I agree with Irene (below) ... both are great and it's hard to choose which.

Very creative and beautiful, Margot.

Whatever you did, it looks darn good to me with the pale greens slithering in the background and the Queen's Anne Lace so delicate and lovingly centered.
