The abbey was originally built during the 8c by a Lombard king, Ratchis,
and was later rebuilt around the 11c and again in 16c.
Interesting church architecturally.
Well worth a visit especially the Greek-cross plan crypt dated back to the 8c
with wonderfully carved capitals.
