Pouring Morning
Another one of the Mother City from my favourite spot in Milnerton.

Early Morning
This is taken in Slovakia around about 29 years ago. Went through my negative-archive and found the line guidance on this image quite pleasing. Tell me what you think.
I just received a message from
Marek Wilczura, clearing my question about the exact location:
"...it seems to be the White Water Valley (Belovodska Dolina) and the mountain in the far is Mlynar. The valley starts just behind the Polish-Slovak border in Lysa Polana and today look - of course - quite differently .. .;)) Hope that the identification is proper.

Perfect Clouds
This is a stitch from 4 upright shots and this increased the picture to a stunning 15 megapixels. Little postprocessing was done:
- Stitching with ArcSoft's Panorama Creator
- Applying the "I feel lucky" button in Picasa2
- Aftersharpening in CorelPhotoPaint 11
It really looks stunning on my A2 print I had made on HP-printer and paper.
If you interested, it can be purchased, being listed on

Spring In The Alpes
This was an almost perfect day when driving through the foothills of the Alpes.
Sterkfontein Dam
On the way to the Drakensberge to celebrate our 5th wedding anniverary, this time I took the chance to capture the wide open.
But I wasn't all alone as interested viewers might want to see the
"Making" of Sterkfontein Dam.

Berghaven (I)
I stitched them together out of three single images with ArcSoft PanoramaMaker.
Bad Weather
Taken from the roof of the Media24 Building
From Far Away
Taken out of a hot air balloon while flying over the Magaliesberge.
It shows the Cityscape of Johnnesburg about 70km away.
Of course it is a crop and I had to apply a filter to get rid of the grain.
The Mother City (II)
An Attempt to make a nice panoramic shot, but failed, because the stitching seems are still visible.
However, I decided to show this anyway, because it is color and as always, very difficult to capture from the top because of haze, etc.
Misty Morning
Sensitive enough for natures beauty, visitors might see this.
The Joke
Graaf
Reinett, a town in the Karoo, South Africa, has a wellknown pretty church. Now one day I wanted to see that for myself, but on arrival, there was a wedding taking place and we could only see it from outside.
So I started fishing the crowd with my long lens as the wedding spectators were awaiting desperately the couple to come out of church.
Breathtaking
Flying over the Drakensberge, South Afrika.
Being fortunate enough so experience this kind of beauty, I was sitting in an airoplane on my way to Durban. Just before the plane chnages its course making a south east bend, I took three shots and stitched them together.
Unfortunately I cannot show the color version, since the two different optical media (lens of the camera & screen glass of the plane window) do not complement each other quite well and creating heavy phasing in color and vignetation.
