RGB image of NGC 5139 - Omega Centauri. Here are the details:
R - 6 x 10 minute subs (no binning, -20c)
G - 6 x 10 minute subs (no binning, -20c)
B - 6 x 10 minute subs (no binning, -20c)
Total exposure is 180 minutes or 3 hours (1 hour in each channel). The data was captured with an Astro Physics 12" Riccardi-Honders f3.8 (1,160mm focal length) telescope on a Paramount ME II mount, SBIG STXL16200 CCD camera with Astrodon LRGB Gen II filters located in rural NSW, Australia. The system yields 1.07 arcseconds per pixel resolution and a field of view of 88 x 66 arcminutes.
All image calibration (Lights, Bias, Darks and Flats) and processing was done in PixInsight. RGB files were Channel Combined, Dynamic Crop, Dynamic Background Extraction, Photometric Colour Calibration, MLT Noise Reduction, Histogram Transform stretch, TGVDenoise, HDR Multiscale Transform, Local Histogram Equalization, MLT Sharpening and a very mild colour saturation adjustment.
Quite a difference from my first image of OC taken at Point Pelee, Ontario, Canada.
