LRGB image of NGC 7023 (The Iris Nebula)
Lum - 38 x 15 minute subs (no binning)
R - 11 x 10 minute subs (2x2 binning)
G - 11 x 10 minute subs (2x2 binning)
B - 12 x 10 minute subs (2x2 binning)
Total exposure of 910 minutes or just over 15 hours. The data was captured with a 16-inch f/8.9 RCOS on a Paramount ME, SBIG STL11000M CCD with Astrodon LRGB filters, field flattener located at the Sierra Remote Observatories outside of Fresno, California at 4600 feet elevation.
All image calibration (Lights, Bias, Darks and Flats) and processing done in PixInsight. Processing includes Background Leveling, Colour Calibration, Noise Reduction, Histogram Stretch, HDR and of course incorporating Luminance data into the RGB set.
Image is cropped and resized from the original 4008 x 2745 to my desktop wallpaper size.
