Immigration Rally
**** (Please Note) I am interrupting my posts of pictures of Korea so you can take a look at photos taken at a rally that I attended last evening, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. This rally and the court case going on here has a potential to affect every part of The United States and this countries future. Please have a look and note the expressed passions on all sides of this issue.
This rally took place in front of the William J. Nealon Federal Building, calling for federal immigration reform. The speakers were on the courthouse steps and the protesters gathered in the streets.
The courthouse is in Scranton, Pennsylvania where a major court case is now being decided as to the legality of renting to or hireling illegal immigrants. This case is centered in Hazleton, Pennsylvania about forty miles South of the courthouse. The protesters were composed of people supporting mainly anti-illegal immigration laws. There was however a group of quite protesters supporting a form of immigration amnesty.
The crowd became engaged in quite verbal discourse and the rally quickly ended with the majority of the crowd singing, “God Bless America.”
