Last Friday I took a few of my farm friends to a huge horse auction in central Pennsylvania. The horse in this photo was there at the auction not to be sold, but to advertise for his services as a stud horse. The stallion is only two years old and the young horse was agitated all day as he waited in a corral. He scratched at the ground and shook his head and was generally disturbed. I think the crowds and other horses added to his anxiety. He is a beautiful animal and I’m sure will produce some outstanding foals.
