Our local photo club has a theme to shoot each month, and this past month the theme was “cold.” I really like the theme because it forces me to shoot in ways I might not ordinarily try. The challenge to solve visual problems creatively is a lot of fun. Makes me think of the question, “Why are you hitting yourself with that hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop” it just might apply well to the theme challenge idea. Anyway, I remembered a park no too far away that had a bronze statute of a local hero’s head mounted on a marble column, so I grabbed a scarf and camera and headed there. Here is the result. I got a lot of strange looks from passers by as I wrapped the scarf around the sculpture. Embarrassed? Nope not me. No shame here. Oh what we do for art. :-)
