The calves and calve-nots.

The cow is of the bovine ilk;
One end is moo, the other, milk.
~Ogden Nash

I spent the whole day yesterday on three different Amish farms. Beautiful weather and just a wonderful day. This shot came as a complete surprise. I had never been to this particular farm before, and the gracious farmer was showing me around his horses, when we turned the corner of his barn this is the startling sight that confronted me. Cows, cows, and more cows, and a few horses too. Shortly after taking this shot all the animals became curious then got up and came forward toward us and then surrounded us. Wall to wall cows. What a scene, I thought I was going to get squashed on top of the squish. Ug.
Hey have you ever heard of a cow with buckteeth? It goes mooof. (Sorry)

An unexpected but very charming scene. Beautiful, rich tones and wonderful composition. It sounds like you were in a mooosh pit. (I'm sorry too)
