I just viewed some of yur flowers on bytephoto and in this gallery. Can you share how you are able to get such consistent bright lighting and good focus? Is your lens a dedicated macro lens or a standard 50mm lens? Beautiful work!

Mary, Thank you so much for your nice comment about my latest PAD photo. Your galleries are absolutely fabulous and I am honored that you would take the time to remark about one of mine.
I saw in your profile that you are from Australia! Wow, so far away from where I live, here on the west coast of the USA! My sister-in-law moved to Australia a couple years ago and loves it there! It looks beautiful in the photos she sends.
Blessings to you and thank you again!

Very nice collection of David Austin roses, thanks for sharing your flowers and your job. From Spain (your antipodas!!), warm regards

I have just been browsing around your David Austin pages and can almost smell the glorious scent of the flowers. As you say and show in your wonderful photos, they do seem to grow extremely well in Australia. Gertrude Jekyll is my favourite for its scent and colour, I would be interested to see how it grows in your garden, as it got rather straggly in mine in England, and now I live in Michigan where it probably would not survive the horrible constant sub zero temperatures we are experiencing at the moment. :( maybe I should move to Oz next!

Wow. It was so nice of you to leave a comment on my Scepter'd Isle pic, especially since I see you are a master rosarian. You have created a beautiful oasis of roses and perennials! I love how the garden becomes a part of the house, and vice versa, complementing each other. I do hope you have some sort of open gardens scheme - it would be such a treat to just walk around your garden for an hour or two (or three!). Thank you for posting. And I love your treatment of Duet! Wonderful.

Thank-you so much for visiting my galleries. Your kind comments mean a lot to me because of your obvious love and talent for capturing the beauty of flowers. It has been a long time since I was in Adelaide, 1962. I bet things have changed since then. :-)

How lovely Mary to once again look at your wonderful pics - they are so beautiful its hard to pick the best,as Sheila says Prudence is pretty perfect, but the vase of Clair Matin is still my favourite shot.
