Rather than presenting traditional photos of a church (although I have included a few), here I have emphasized close-ups that illustrate the peaceful beauty to be found in the lights and shadows of a sunny winter morning filling an old church.
This church located in West Springfield, Massachusetts, was formerly known as Immaculate Conception, but its named was changed when it merged with two other churches that were closed. Fortunately, it did not meet the fate of Immaculate Conception Church in Holyoke, about five miles north. I have documented the demolition of the Holyoke church here: https://pbase.com/maryanne16/immacconc
