Photos taken during walks and drives in Western Massachusetts and Connecticut from late September till the trees were bare. The foliage season in this area is always beautiful...and sometimes spectacular. I think of it as a gift from nature to get us through the long winters. But then, the winters have a beauty of a different kind.
