This image is a composite of two different sets of exposures - one long set to capture faint details and one set of very short exposures to capture detail at the core of the nebula. The two sets were digitally combined to show a wide range of detail in the nebula.

The "smudge" near the top of the image is the Running Man Nebula, however I didn't capture enough exposure data to bring out the details of this very faint object.
