Just a quick shot of one of my favorite globular clusters, M13, located in the constellation Hercules.
As the name implies, this is a cluster of several hundred thousand stars, about 145 light-years in diameter and some 25,000 light years distant from Earth.
If you look closely, you can see two small galaxies below and to the right of the main cluster. The larger one (near the edge of the frame) is NGC6207 and the barely-visible one between the cluster and NGC6207 is 15th magnitude galaxy, IC 4617.
