"Focus on Birds" class field trip to Brigantine, headed by world expert bird watcher Thomas Southerland, Jr.
Brigantine (now offically, the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge) is a very expansive (more than 40,000 acres) locale situated at the New Jersey Shore and boasts a large variety of species. The main trail (Wildlife Drive) is over 8 miles long, which is indicative of size of the area. Weather was very overcast, but fortunately the impending rain was just that - it started just after we finished our tour.
The potographs would have benefited from a bit brighter conditions, but I managed to get some decent captures nevertheless.
