I was a bit bogged down at this point, but the run started pretty quickly. It was only the next day that I learnt that the bottom of the sandboard is waxed with liquid floor wax between each use. This makes the board go very fast, to the point of it being nearly suicidal if you blast straight down the dune without trying some turns. I found this out the hard way. I was sore for 2 days after a high speed wipeout.
