A picture of me at the helm of the Coyu. This old steamer is in the process of being converted to a floating restaurant. I was shown through by it's owner. It is aground not far away from the more famous Yavari. I walked here by following the railway tracks (towards Cusco where I actually wanted to be) on a day when everything else in Puno was closed (particularly the transport out of the bloody place) by a Peruvian strike. This was my first (but not last) introduction to Peruvian industrial action.
