My room at the Grand Hotel in Sucre. Che Guevara once stayed here (but not in this room - he stayed in 6 whilst I was in 11, though I still consider myself 'revolutionary'). It was expensive by Bolivian standards, though cheaper than a dorm room in Chile. The rooms were nice and the courtyards were beautiful. It was a good change from the hell-hole I stayed at in Potosi. On the bed is some of my clothing following an encounter with a Bolivian laundry. I suspect that it was soaked in some sort of Bolivian weapons grade bleach. The guy at the laundry then tried to tell me that the clothes were like it when he received them, so it wasn't his fault. I menatlly recorded a terse letter I was going to write to the Bolivian tourist board, but I have since decided to let the matter slide.
