Another northern Chile city and another 1 day tour (time was getting short). This is the first stop on my day tour from Iquique. It is the ghost town of Humberstone. It dates from about 1842 and has been abandoned for about 100 years (I think). It was set up to serve the nitrate mining operations in the Atacama Desert.
