The afternoon of the last day of 2003 atop Cerro San Bernardo, Salta. Salta was a real surprise city for me. I was expecting northwest Argentina to be a lot dryer, but Salta is surrounded by green hills and has a lovely climate (at least it did at this time of the year). It's a pity that I didn't have more time there, as there are apparently lots of trekking and rafting opportunities out of Salta.
