if you visit New York City, the Metropolitan Museum of Art is a "must see", two floors of paintings, sculptures and antiquities from all around the world. The critical thing here is access-the museum is open to everyone and although it gets crowded on weekends I've never known them to stop admitting visitors. This is a sculpture room designed for visitors to sit and absorb the fantastic surroundings.
