"Amber"
2/4/2001 - 6/14/2008
Simply the smartest dog I have ever encountered. Amber was all about life. She was a hard charger, with incredible drive, desire, and never quit attitude. She always "ran with the big dogs" when she was a pup. She could take on two fiesty golden males 80 pounds each, in serious play, and always come out on top. She had great self confidence, lived for tennis balls, often wearing out numerous ball throwers in a single evening! Strong independance as a pup, she was the ultimate thinker. Witty and incredibly intellegent, blazing speed, quick and agile she was the total package held back only by her owners time constraints. Numerous first place runs in agility through the excellent class, included winning at the GRCA National in 2005 and at the International in February 2007 Amber's fiesty personality coupled with incredible warmth and tenderness was felt all who met her. Incredibly happy with life and people, she loved all those that touched her. She would leave a lasting memory on all those who knew her. Stricken with 2 deadly diseases within 30 days, her heroic effort to survive pushed boundries the specialists had yet to see. What a great golden retriever, companion and friend. She will be greatly missed and loved forever. She was my little girl.
