We left Laguna Colorado at 5:30 a.m. to catch the sunrise over the geysers, but as we were flying around a corner our right tire flew off and we almost flipped over (no seatbelts, yikes!). To make matters worse we were at 4700m elevation and it was close to minus 10 with wind chill. We were running around and huddling together for an hour before the sun warmed us slightly. Somehow the driver managed to fix the tire in an hour and we were off, minus a few lugnuts and a brake pad! Good thing as the nearest replacement car was 5 hours away.
