I think I just saw one of these in the garden eating from lilac bushes. I thought it might be a hummingbird initially. It had two very bright yellow stripes on its thorax just below the wing line as the one above does - mine had more uniform and brighter stripes however. Have never seen in Ontario before. Is it rare here?
