There are such a fantastic range of colours in the stones that the older buildings in Burnley (Lancashire, England) were constructed from. Add to these colours the textures and shapes that you find in derelict buildings and you have a fantastic resource for interesting photos.

Although the late evening sun on the stones and bricks brought out most of the colours, I did tweak the saturation and contrast in Photoshop CS5
