At present a major renovation is being performed of the National Gallery in Stockholm. Built in 1866 it does not meet up with today's standards. On April 5 and 6 the museum was open for the last time to the public. All art is removed, instead they were showing the plans for the new renovation. The plans are to open up windows for light and the beautiful view. Also adding modern climate control invisibly in a 19th century building which is a great task.
