Sweden’s oldest Hand Made paper mill still with its original functioning equipment. The paper mill founded in 1777 by Lars Dristig, an army drummer and farmer. The mill was in uninterrupted operation until 1926, when it was shut down. The last owners of the mill were the Bergholm family which ran it for three generations from 1844.

Unfortunately a pyromaniac burnt down the mill in the autumn of 2005. More than 200 years of history lost..
