I'm not a fan of b&w but this is an excellent gallery! Technically flawless, but most imprtantly they really capture the moment ~V~
Great gallery of my favorite artist!
I've seen B.B. In concert many times and had the privilege of meeting him in 1991.
MARK...HAPPY GREETINGS FROM NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - U.S.A. What a stunning black & white photo gallery of "King of the Blues" Mr. B.B. King. Great photos. I saw B.B. King at the Beverly-Wilshire Hotel @ Los Angeles, CA., in the mid-70s. AWESOME! He rocked the house down with his genius moments on the guitar and singing voice. CONGRATULATIONS. Wonderful photography! Brings me back to the time of his concert I saw in combination with U2. (V)
Top class photography Mark. A truly wonderful gallery. It wouldn't look quite the same in colour. -v.
This is absolute excellence.
A couple of things.
BB was in a spotlight, I also pushed the Tri-x 1 stop (800ISO), pushing makes for more contrast-meter reading was taken selective area (12% i think Canon F1) from his jacket.
HI, great shots!! Questions.. how do u make he background so black? This black background really brings out the mood u want to convey. Will very much appreciate if u can share with us this key learning. Many Thanks in Advance.

Mark, these shots of BB are fantastic and made much punchier by the use of Black and White. Image bb1105 is a quintessential "bb" shot. A fantastic series!

Great photos of a Legend. Blues for ever!!!. Voted.
Amazing blues images! Film really has something here. You were wide awake with the shutter release as well. You caught some of the best note-tweak facial expressions I've seen. Great set of eight. g
Thanks for your kind words everyone. Cedric : these were shot on a Canon F1n with a 50mm standard on Tri-x Pushed to 800 asa (now ISO)
