A weekend in the High Peaks, November 2004

A smaller subset of the ISAEDHS met in Keene, just before winter weather set in. Saturday found us heading up to Weston, via the Gulf Brook leanto and Lost Pond. A bit of new wet snow underfoot hinted at the season to come.

On Sunday, we opted for the Lake Road at the Ausable Club. Steve and Dee went on towards the lake, leaving the rest to try the trail towards Bear Den. The goal was the new view of the peaks afforded by the fire there in 1999.
