Diano d'Alba

Piedmont, Italy

Diano d’Alba (Italy), perched on a steep hill just a few kilometers outside of Alba, this quaint and colorful town received its name after Diana, the goddess of hunting worshipped during the time of the Romans, likely the founders of the first village in this location.

Diano d’Alba is part of the 11 municipalities producing Barolo wine, but local vineyards are also famous for another great DOCG red: the Dolcetto di Diano.

a high quality image fashioned with attention to the graphic nature of the scene...the colour palette is wonderful too...cool that despite the intense land use some more natural patches have been preserved..
