Diano d’Alba (Italy), perched on a steep hill just a few kilometers outside of Alba, this quaint and colorful town received its name after Diana, the goddess of hunting worshipped during the time of the Romans, likely the founders of the first village in this location.
Diano d’Alba is part of the 11 municipalities producing Barolo wine, but local vineyards are also famous for another great DOCG red: the Dolcetto di Diano.
