Belmont (Altitude: Min. 566 m; Max. 1 084 m) has a fairly harsh climate with a generally mountainous thermal regime, typical of the Champ du Feu Massif. This character is further reinforced by good exposure to the prevailing westerly winds.
It is a very watered area, with average annual rainfall of around 1500mm.
The snow cover is, as in all the Vosges mountains, very variable according to the years.
Cloudiness is very high and thunderstorms very frequent in summer.
