White mountain is the third-tallest peak in California at 14,252 ft (4334 m). There's a "road" (I use the term loosely for the last quarter of it, as I think even a good 4x4 would have to work to go up it) that goes up to the peak, although it's still a strenuous hike - especially for us flatlanders.
