... not a technique I care for, but thought I had better 'give it a go' ...

I would say I am guilty of using it too much.....but I just usually use a touch of it....stop way before any noise appears to deal with.
I try to use my images straight from the camera but I seem to not be able to reist tweeking them a bit if I can make it a more pleasing image.I guess we could go into long debates on this....and I am by far NOT an expert.

Wonderful still life image, wouldn't have considered this one as a HDR image. !V

It seems to have worked as good as could be expected. i also don't use it often.
