Sidelined indeed. Nicely sculptural thanks to the sparse light.
It's quaint how the Zuchetto is still worn by the higher 'ranks' even though they were really designed centuries ago to cover up the shaved circle (tonsure?) on top of the head. I guess many 'civilian' fashions remain popular, too, although the precise need for them has 'expired'.
