Buddy, at ten years of age, passed February, 2008. He had been kind enough to sit last Fall for a portrait shoot so that I would have an image from which I could learn to paint short-hairs. It was sad to hear that this fine, playful affable fellow had passed.

Photo realistic painted portrait...Brushes from lesson 1 & 2; masking for Bg. To get the values used TLR tone masks at the high and low end of greyscale. Helped locate bone structure, light, shadow. In Painter, I painted with a blue glaze see notes for this experiment.
